  A team of 11 women from across Western Canada participated in a short term mission trip to Kenya. The purpose of our trip was to visit projects which we have helped to fund through STEP and to bring greetings and encouragement to the Kenyan women.
We were warmly greeted with a song of welcome by the women from each village we visited.

Kenyan women have many responsibilities such as:

1. caring for their children

2. preparing meals for her family
3. picking tea for extra family income
4. carrying heavy loads to and from market, like this woman carrying bananas
   
5. tending their vegetable gardens and small farms
