Dynamic Leadership for Ministry

Women in Focus has trained several facilitation teams that are ready and willing to come to your church and offer a weekend of leadership training for your women. The course helps women to understand themselves as called by God to use their spiritual gifts, gives women the tools and confidence to carry out the responsibilities within their areas of ministry by:

discovering their areas of passion and joy,
being given tools for leadership,
being encouraged to see new possibilities the community around them,
being alert for new ministry needs,
envisioning new ways of doing traditional ministries.

A typical weekend schedule:

Friday Evening
7:30-8:30……….….I am Called

Saturday Morning
8:30-10:00…….…..I am Gifted
10:00-10:30……....Break
10:30-Noon………..Claiming my Gifts

Lunch
Noon-1:00………….Reflection Time
Please bring a bagged lunch

Saturday Afternoon
1:00-2:15………....Qualities of an Effective
Leader
2:15-2:30.………….Break
2:30-4:00……….….Creativity & Managing
Change
4:00-4:30…………..Break
5:00-7:00………..…Celebrating New
Beginnings

Evening meal will be provided

You may not be in a leadership role in the ministry in your church but there are still benefits from participating in the experience. Each session deals with topics that are important to us in every aspect of our daily lives. You just might discover that God is indeed calling you to lead in some way and that He has allowed you to discover a gift that you never know you had!!

Highlights from Brownfield event:

Highlights from Bonavista event:

“The integrity and authenticity of the group leaders. They shared their struggles with us and this reinforces that none of us are perfect. We are all working and striving to be like Christ and yet we stumble along the way. Another highlight was the individual colour word and ministry checklists.”

“I enjoyed learning about leadership qualities and how they related to me and my gifts. Focusing in on God’s calling on my life through biblical passages and activities was very helpful and made me realize the importance of listening to God’s call, acknowledging it and using the gifts He gave us for His glory.”
